Portuguese Students on Long-Term Mobility within Erasmus+
Our school has the honor of hosting four students from Portugal who are participating in a five-week long-term mobility program within Erasmus+. This experience allows them not only to get to know the Slovak education system and culture but also to gain practical experience in various fields.
The students have a diverse program that includes not only attending classes at our school but also gaining hands-on experience at multiple workplaces. They regularly visit Subsídium, where they assist in elderly care and gain valuable insights into social care. Another part of their internship takes place at the Contessa restaurant in Krásnohorské Podhradie, where they familiarize themselves with the gastronomy sector and have the opportunity to learn how to prepare traditional dishes.
Additionally, the students are gaining experience at the Secondary Medical School, where they acquire knowledge in healthcare, and at the Secondary Technical School, where they focus on programming. This diversity provides them with a broad overview of different professional fields and helps them develop their skills.
During their stay in Rožňava, the Portuguese students not only improve their professional competencies but also get to know a new environment, culture, and language. Through this mobility, they learn to work in an international team, enhance their communication skills, and gain valuable experience that may benefit their future careers.
We believe that their time at our school and in our town will be an enriching experience, leaving them with many wonderful memories. We are delighted to be part of their educational journey and to contribute to their personal and professional growth.
